Coarse Scheelite Grain Beneficiation Process

The main scheelite ore dressing is mainly floatation, but for some scheelite with  coarse scheelite grains, other process like gravity separation can be used according to the specific mineral inlay situation. Gravity separation can upgrade the scheelite of coarse inlay grains with good beneficiation efficiency and high recovery rate with the plant investment of gravity separation about 1/10 of that of floatation separation. Here is some share about gravity separation for scheelite separation.

The raw scheelite shall be crushed by normal jaw crusher. The output from jaw crusher needs screening by vibrating screen because the output of jaw crusher is uneven and some scheelite has been dissociated while most does not. The big size will go for fine crusher like hammer crusher for secondary crushing to liberate the scheelite grain from its attached gangue. The crushing ore will be back to the screen. The liberated material will go for the trapezoidal tungsten jigger through the hopper and feeder. Tailings from jigger can be dewatered by dewatering screen while the concentrate can be discharged into the depositing pool. Two phases crushing and screening is to avoid ore kibbing and to improve the efficiency of crushing and vibrating screening. For beneficiation of scheelite tungsten, the flow sheet can be made according to the scheelite nature. For fine grain scheelite tungsten, floatation separation can be used to get high quality concentrate while for coarse inlay scheelite ore, simple gravity separation can be ok to get high grade concentrate without large plant investment.
