Limonite Jigging Beneficiation in Malaysia
Malaysia is rich in mineral source, and its iron ore is easy to upgrade with its high-grade, coarse granularity embedded. Here Forui will introduce a machine test of limonite upgrading project in Malaysia. The following is the situation of the test.
This limonite is in the pattern of big blocks, and it shall be crushed and screened firstly to gain the 8mm limonite for the test. Actually, this limonite can gain a high beneficiation efficient when the crushing size is 30mm which is the liberation grain size, and Forui jigger for large granularity size can work to get high-grade concentrate. However, the trial machine in the trial is for the fine ore, not the ore blocks to prove the washability and the beneficiation efficiency of the limonite. That is why the limonite ore is crushed to 8mm in the test while it needs to be 30mm in the actual mining process.
The picture below is the limonite in Malaysia. The up one is the raw ore after crushing and screening, and the left down is concentrate from jigger while the right down is tailings from jigging process.
The separating granularity can be evenly into the trial jigger after crushing and screening. During the erection-changing water flows, limonite of big density will be in the low part of the jigger and go to the concentrate through the sieve of the jigger while ore of small density will be floating and can not deposit to the bed media of big density and will discharged through the over-flows to be tailings. And here the separation to form the concentrate and tailings has been finished.
