Drum Screen

Introduction:

Rotary Screen is a kind of roller type screening equipment, widely used in metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry, food, medicine, chemical fertilizer for screening dry powder or granular material, also can be used for wet material screening.

Rotary screen consists of five parts, they are drum, frame, hopper, reducer and motor. When the broken stone is put into the drum, the material will be screened along with the rotation of drum, and the bigger materials  will flow to the direction of slope and be separated by the screen with the required screen hole. The different materials fall into different hoppers and then will be sent to different finished product stacks by manpower or belt conveyors.

Design and Application of rotary Screen

According to different sizing specification, the numbers of hierarchical level could be from one to four, the materials which size is larger than the screen mesh of the last part will be discharged from the outlet.

During the process of operation, its movement is slowly and steady and installation is simple, sometime no need any special foundation and could be placed on smooth ground or floor. It is the most commonly used classification device for refractory material, coal, river sand and mixture of sand and stone.
