Antimony Ore

  
Density of antimony oxide or antimony sulfide is much bigger than that of gangue, so for most all antimony ores, gravity separation can work well with good beneficiation efficiency. Even though in some situation, gravity separation can not help to get qualified concentrate, it can save lots of investment and operation cost as pre-separation before floatation separation. Gravity separation can enrich roughly the ore and floatation separation can purify antimony concentrate from gravity separation.

The following flow sheet adopts combination of gravity separation and floatation separation to enrich ore of antimony oxide and antimony sulfide.

Brief introduction to the flow chart:
The raw hand selection ore is crushed and screened to be 0-30mm, 2-8 mm and 0-2 mm, and these three ranges can be fed into jigger of AM30, LTA10102 and Jt1070/2 relatively for jigging gravity separation to gain gravity separation concentrate. There are fine granules inlay of antimony in the tailings, ball milling-classifying-agitating-floatation separation for tailings from jigger has been designed to improve the recovery rate and enrichment efficiency. The floatation separation is similar to that of floatation for single antimony sulfide as the flow sheet picture shows.

For lumpy antimony ore rich of coarse granule inlay, hand selection can be added during crushing and the rich ore is selected while the selection tailings go for gravity separation.
  
Antimony ore is usually in coarse inlay and there is a big density difference between antimony and gangue, so combination of gravity separation and floatation separation is usually adopted to gain best efficiency.
