2. Introduction to jigger 

Jigger is kind of gravity separation equipment. It works using water as medium and separates according to the density differences between mineral and gangue. It is energy-saving, high-efficiency, environment-friendly and can beneficiate ores of kinds of sizes with good beneficiation efficiency. The enrichment efficiency is irreplaceable when it comes to the beneficiation of coarse ore.
 

3. Jigger classification

By different standard, jigger can be divided into different types. Coal-washing jigger, ore-washing jigger is divided when divided according to the usage, air jigger, water-driving jigger is divided according to the working pattern while side-driven jigger, end-driven jigger, and down-driven jigger is divided according to the transmission pattern.
 

4. Working principle of jigger

The working principle of jigger is: minerals of different densities will be in different layers in the vertical alternating medium, and jigging will make minerals of different densities located in different place in the jigging chambers. The heavy mineral is located in the low layer as heavy ore or concentrate while the light material will be in the upper layer as light ores or tailings. A special device can help to discharge both layers separately to gain concentrate and tailings. The ore is fed continuously, and the layers will be discharged unstopped, and continuous jigging process is formed.

5. Jigger-adopting fields

Coal-washing jigger is for coal while ore-washing jigger is for ore. Both jiggers have something in common, but generally, one jigger can not be used in both coal and ore.
