How To Recycle Chrome Smelting Slag

Chrome smelting slag is the solid residue of producing chromite alloy. This kind of slag is of high hardness and very hard to deal with. However, it will be harm to environment if piled. Forui here introduces a way to recycle the chromite alloy from the slag. The waste after recycling can be used as additive of new-type building material.

How to recycle the alloy in the slag to guarantee the benefit? Firstly the liberation from the slag is a necessary to gain the alloy. Secondly, the gravity separation can be help to gain the chromite alloy. For the alloy, its magneto conductivity is different because of different chrome percentage. Alloy of high magneto conductivity can be attracted by magnet while alloy of magneto conductivity can not. Test shows that there is iron oxide which is also magneto conductivity, so this oxide can be also attracted by magnet together with the alloy. So magnetic separation does not work well here.

Floatation separation to recover the alloy is obviously not the right way, and here is the gravity separation. Gravity separation separates according to density difference of useful alloy and the waste. The liberation of the useful alloy & the waste and the density difference guarantees the practical working of gravity separation. Jig machines can recover both coarse and fine alloy granularity with its great separation efficiency and high recovery.

Usually, the size of the alloy says more about its price. The larger the size is, the higher the price is. So all customers want to recover the coarse block alloy firstly, and this is the main factor to recover the alloy. And here jigger can recover all coarse, medium, fine size of alloy.
