Limonite is kind of weak magnetic iron mineral. It is mainly beneficiated by gravity separation and strong magnetic separation while magnetizing roasting system is used sometimes with its large plant investment and high beneficiation cost. However, for some coarse grain limonite ore, neither magnetic separation nor magnetizing roasting system works well. Here gravity separation can help to gain great beneficiation efficiency. The following is comparison of limonite before and after jigging separation:

Limonite ore is usually in coarse iron grain with clear bounds between iron grain and other gangue. Simple crushing and screening can dissociate the iron grain from other gangue, and then gravity separation can separate the iron grains from the impurity to get qualified concentrate.
