Stibnite Antimony Jigging Separation Plant

The single antimony sulfide ore is stibnite, and its main separation methods cover hand-selection, gravity separation, floatation separation, and here the jigging gravity separation will be introduced.

Gravity separation is adopted for most of the antimony ore because of its big density and coarse granularity size to make the gravity separation good enrichment efficiency. The density of the stibnite is 4.6 while that of the gangue is 2.6, so stibnite is very easy to separate by gravity separation. Jigger is one of the gravity separation machines widely used for stibnite separation.

Jigging gravity separation separates based on the density difference of the concentrate & the gangue with its great enrichment efficiency & large handling capacity. Jigger can deal with a large range of size and is friendly to environment with high cost performance, so it is the ideal separator for stibnite ore. For some antimony hard to separate, jigging gravity separation can only work as the pre-separation of floatation separation, especially for the antimony oxide. Jigging separation is the main separation method for antimony oxide. The following picture is about the antimony jigging test:
 

The stibnite antimony gravity separation equipment is mainly antimony jigging machine and shaking table. Jig separator is for coarse and medium antimony ore while shaking table is for the fine even powder antimony ore. With the development of jigging concentrator, jigger can also take the place of shaking table to recover the fine granules. And jigging separator becomes the only gravity separator for stibnite antimony ore.

The specific gravity of stibnite antimony is big, and most of models can be used to upgrade it. However, with the increasingly requirement about the beneficiation, antimony jigging separators have been divided into many models for different size ranges. Forui LTA series and 2LTC6109/8T jiggers are for antimony of fine inlay, JT series jiggers are for antimony of micro fine granule inlay while AM30 jigger are mainly for coarse inlay of 8-30mm. The ore nature, composition and requirement from mine owners shall be taken into consideration before choosing the jigger models, and this is also the basic way to guarantee the antimony beneficiation project to the largest extent.
