There are kinds of iron ores and the separation methods of magnetic separation, gravity separation and floatation separation can be chosen according to nature of different iron mines. Here Forui will introduce some iron beneficiation to share with you.

The choosing of iron separation equipment depends on specific ore natures and magnetite iron ore is usually concentrated by magnetic separation, but what about the beneficiation of hematite, limonite, specularite?  The magnetic separation can not help to get ideal beneficiation efficiency. And here gravity separation, floatation separation and even roasting shall be considered.

So when shall jig separator be adopted in upgrading of iron ore, please? First, the iron ore shall be weak magnetic and usually magnetic separation has been considered firstly if possible. So for magnetite iron ore, gravity separation can be ignored directly. But for iron ore of weak magnetism, gravity separation shall be taken into consideration. Secondly, the inlay size is not so fine with the inlay granules has an obvious boundry with the gangue, otherwise, the jig concentrator can not work well. Lastly, crushing can liberate the iron granules from the gangue or the single separation degree is high. Only iron granules are liberated from other impurities, the jig gravity separation can help to get qualified iron concentrate. Of course, the premise is that there is density difference between iron granules and its gangues. The following picture is about the specularite iron upgrading in Hainan, China.
