Floatation separation is used to beneficiate copper oxide and copper sulfide, while jigging gravity separation is rarely involved. So for most of copper ore, jigging separation does not work. But for some copper ore, it does work well to do the pre-separation and then floatation separation can be adopted for further beneficiation and this will save a lot of operating cost.
