Coarse fluorspar ore washing equipment

The main composition of fluorspar is calcium fluoride, kind of main material to make hydrofluoric acid and main flux in metallurgy industry. Fluorspar to make hydrofluoric acid needs high grade, usually over 95% while it needs 80%-90% of fluorite when it works as flux in metallurgy. So the fluorspar for chemical is usually upgraded by floatation separation while gravity separation will be involved for metallurgy fluorite blocks. Most fluorspar ore is in coarse inlay and with its beautiful colors, so there is an obvious line between fluorspar and its gangue. Density of fluorite is 3.0-3.3g/cm³while that of the gangue is no more than 2.6 g/cm³and this density difference makes gravity separation a suitable way to upgrade fluorspar ore. Actually, only gravity separation can work for lumpy fluorspar enrichment. Hand selection can also help to get high qualified fluorite blocks. However, the efficiency is low and the grade is uneven and hard to enlarge the separation scale. So for the coarse fluorite separation, gravity separation flow sheet and gravity separation equipment will be adopted.

The main gravity separation for coarse fluorspar ore upgrading is fluorite jig separator with its feeding size of 0-50mm for fine, medium, and coarse fluorite granules and fluorite sand. This gravity separator is suitable adopted to get high grade metallurgy fluorspar concentrate with its high recovery, good beneficiation efficiency, low investment cost, low operation cost and friendly to environment.
