Black sand deposits, which are composed of heavy metal materials like iron, are common in areas where gold is found. While mining hobbyists typically regard the presence of black sand as an indicator of gold deposits, the sands themselves contain small particles of gold, called flour gold, and the sands are frequently processed for gold extraction. Many people are concerned about gold recovery from these black sands. Most of people will turn to gold magnetic separator to get high grade gold dust. Well this is a practical way to enrich gold. However, what about the nature gold particles without no black coat? Black gold magnetic separator will not work for this kind of gold, and in this situation the gold recovery will be low because some fine gold particles is not big enough to get by hand or even can not be seen, and even sometimes a pan or sluice is used, and the whole process will become complex. 

And here we suggest gravity separation to extract gold from this black sand. Similar to the traditional pan to get gold, it can help to get gold both with and without black coat. As is known that the gold density is times of the other minerals, so even if the gold is covered by the black sand, the whole particles are also much heavier than that of other particles without gold.

What is more, here the gravity separation can get the black sand gold concentrate with high recovery, and it can deal with size of +80 meshes-6mm. Only screening and one phrase separation can be ok to get the concentrate.
