Beneficiation Methods for Different Gold Ores and Tailings. The embedded granularity size of the gold in ore determines the milling and the beneficiation method. During the milling processing, when coarse gold and the other composition liberates, recovering by gravity separation or amalgamation will do a favor to the following floatation separation and the cyaniding because the coarse gold is very hard to float, or needs long time to cyanide. 

For the recovering of the coarse gold, gravity separation is a best way to get most of the gold. Then amalgamation or cyaniding will be considered according to the gold ore nature to recover gold or other metals. The flow sheet for the coarse gold recovery covers: screening--jigging--amalgamation or screening--jigging--shaking table. For the recovery of coarse gold in lodegold ore, gravity separation is usually adopted after rod mill to mill gold ore to separate gold & gangue, and then the mixture will be put into the jigger to recover the coarse gold. Sometimes multi-milling & multi-separation will be involved to recover coarse gold as soon as possible avoiding gold loss after the milling. And for the lodegold, the gold beneficiation flow sheet can be : crushing--rod milling--jigging--amalgamation.

Gold beneficiation jigger

Jigger is the most efficient equipment for gold concentration. It is mainly used for the rough separation and selection of rock gold ore. The gold percentage is not so high in the rock gold, so the plants for the rock gold shall treat much, be of high recovery rate, energy-saving & environment-friendly. And the jigging gravity separation machines, especially the Forui jiggers, win great praises by clients. The three model series for gold beneficiation are 2LTC6109/8T, LTA series and JT series.

1) 2LTC6109/8T jigger is also called trapezoid diaphragm jigger with its working section trapezoid and four jigging slots dependently adjusted. This jigger can treat the ore below 8mm with high recovery rate. Its working area is 5.76 square meters with its large treatment capacity. 1000t/d can be managed for one single 2LTC6109/8T jigger.

2) LTA series jiggers are kind of down-moving cone diaphragm jigger with its well-knit structure, large treatment capacity,and high recovery rate. It is also the core equipment for the mobile gold beneficiation group.

3) JT series jiggers are designed especially for the rock gold enrichment with its jigging motion saw-tooth wave.It can help to get a great efficiency for fine ore, 98% for the rock gold and it is usually working as the refining machine for placer gold ore and sand tin ore.

Gold beneficiation jigger

Floatation separation is one of the most common beneficiation methods for quartz gold ore. Mostly, floatation separation makes a high beneficiation efficiency over the sulfide ore of gold with its high flotability. By floatation, both gold and other metals can be separated, and the tailings can be of no value. Floatation separation can be also adoptable for multi-metals recovery like Au-Cu, Au-Pb. Au-Sd, Au-Cu-Pb-Zn-S etc. The floatation separation to get kinds of metal concentrate can help to realize the over-all recovery of mining resource. Moreover, for the indissolvable mineral which can not be dealt with amalgamation and the cyanidation, a combinated flow sheet covering the floatation separation will be needed. However, there is limitation for floatation separation. When it comes to the coarse gold over 0.2mm or quartz gold without Sulfur, stable floatation froth can not show up after adjusting pulp, and the floatation separation can not work well.

For overseas gold mine, two or three phases have been adopted while in China, bi-phase milling and bi-phase separation is common to see.

And with this design, the gold recovery rate has been improved by 2-6%. The separation efficiency has been improved greatly after the multi-use of kinds of chemicals. Gold mine in Suichang & Xiangxi use mixture  of amine black power and xanthate to improve the recovery rate up by 2-5%. The final concentrate is not the gold because the gold is enriched together with the sulfide, so usually, few companies make the flow sheet only for floatation separation, and the floatation separation is only part of the flow sheet. 

At this moment, the single floatation flow sheet happens to some of the small gold mines like Suichang.
