Introduction of Beneficiation Process of Tantalum and Niobium Ore

In general, we divide tantalum and niobium ore into two types. One is tantalum-niobium ore with complex structure and complex composition, the other is tantalum-niobium ore with simple structure and single composition.
For complex tantalum-niobium ore, we generally use the combined beneficiation process of gravity separation, flotation and magnetic separation.
for example: No. 69 ore body in Jiangxi Dajishan tungsten mine is a large granite ore body containing tantalum, niobium and tungsten, the main minerals include wolframite, scheelite, tantalum-niobite and microlite.
Due to the extremely fine particle size of useful minerals in this mine, the recovery rate using a single beneficiation method is very low,They used a combined gravity separation-flotation process to recover tantalum and niobium. The final concentrate contains 10.84% tungsten trioxide and 51.8% tantalum pentoxide. The recovery rate is 69.92% (Ta2O5 recovery rate is 69.071%).
The following figure is a schematic diagram of the beneficiation process of a fine-grained tantalum-niobium mine in China:
Beneficiation technology of African tantalum and niobium mine:

complete set of beneficiation equipment provided by the Forui Machinery for African tantalum and niobium ore dressing plant The structure and composition of African tantalum and niobium ore are simple, so the beneficiation process is very simple, generally divided into two stages: rough separation and beneficiation In the rough separation stage, the primary concentrate is obtained by washing and gravity separation, and the strong magnetic separation is used in the selection stage to obtain the final concentrate.

Forui Machinery has extensive experience in beneficiation of tantalum and niobium mines . We have designed beneficiation processes for  dozens of tantalum and niobium ore dressing plants in Nigeria, Rwanda, Angola, and provided full set of equipment .

The tantalum niobium tin ore beneficiation plan designed by Forui machinery for Nigerian customers adopted processes  as ore washing, sieving, and jigging ,etc. The final concentrate contains 46% tantalum and niobium,7% tin, and the recovery rate is 86%.

The tantalum-niobium tin ore beneficiation plan we designed for Rwandan customers also uses this process. The final concentrate contains 51% tantalum and niobium, 7.1% tin, and the recovery rate of 79%.This simple process with low investment  has created huge economic benefits and won customers unanimous recognition and praise.

3. Tantalum-niobium ore beneficiation equipment
The processing equipment of tantalum and niobium ore is closely related to the nature of the ore.The complex tantalum-niobium ore beneficiation should comprehensively adopt crushers, ball mills, linear vibrating screens, high-frequency vibrating fine screens, spiral chutes, shakers, jigs, flotation machines and other equipment.
The African tantalum and niobium ore beneficiation process only needs to use ore washing machine, vibrating screen, jig, magnetic separator ,etc.

The beneficiation of tantalum-niobium ore with different properties requires different beneficiation equipment and processes. This requires that the manufacturer must have rich experience in beneficiation of the tantalum-niobium ore and be able to conduct beneficiation tests in front of the customer in order to ensure foolproof.

Forui Machinery is a professional manufacturer of beneficiation equipment. Our factory has provided complete beneficiation solutions and equipment for dozens of tantalum-niobium ore beneficiation plants, and provided them with detailed technical consultation and perfect after-sales service. It also won us high praise from customers.
