Placer Gold Extraction & Amalgamation Equipment
 

Gold in placer gold ore is usually nature gold with high single separation degree and big gold size of granules, schistose or branch shape. The Diameter of the gold is usually 0.5-2mm, so gravity separation and amalgamation process can help to get high grade gold of +80% Au. Before gravity separation, the big waste stones shall be separated out by vibrating screen to avoid blocking of gravity separation equipment. There are other heavy minerals besides gold in this placer gold ore. Gravity separation can help to get all minerals. There may be some sticky block and if these blocks are screened, it will be a loss of gold. Here a rotary screen can be used to do the job of separating and screening. For alluvial gold ore, rotary screen with screen holes of 10-20mm will be needed.

The screened gold ore can be fed into the gravity separation machine directly. It is proved that gravity separation is the most efficient and most economic separation way. It makes use of specific gravity difference between gold and other materials and uses water as separation medium (no chemicals). So this gold gravity separator is friendly to environment with its high recovery. The gold granule size range is different and the feeding size rang of the separator shall be different. The reasonable gold separation processing line is combination of chute, jigger and shaking table after screening. The chute is used for rough separation, the gold jigger for scavenging while the shaking table is for further upgrading with the whole recovery of over 95%. Jigger of LTA 1010/2 and 2LTC6109/8T has been widely used in placer gold ore enriching.

The Au content is high in the concentrate from gravity separation, and this makes amalgamation higher efficient. Gold amalgamation is based on fact that the mercury sucks gold to form amalgam, i.e. kind of semisolid. Forui amalgamator is designed for high grade gold concentrate from gravity separation with its simple operation and high recovery. As kind of inner amalgamation equipment, its mercury can be recycled.
