Silica-Manganese Smelting Slag Recycling Equipment

Silica-manganese smelting slag is kind of solid slag from silica-manganese smelting. Recovery of alloys from smelting slag can help to gain considerable profit. Here Forui share some recovery method and equipment with you.

 There is granulating slag and dry residue for silica-manganese smelting slag, and the dry residue is of high alloy content with its big hardness while granulating slag is of low content with low hardness. Designing different flow sheet according to characteristics of the slag will have a great effect for the whole project. So either the recycling machine or the supplier shall be  chosen seriesly.

No matter granulating slag or dry residue, there are some big blocks and these big blocks coat some fine alloys and these alloy shall be liberated from the slag before separation, and gravity separation can be a favor to gain pure alloys.

Two phases of crushing (jaw crusher and fine impact crusher) will be used to break the blocks into small size, and here almost all alloys have been liberated from the slag. The separation machine is, obviously, jigging gravity separator. The silica-manganese alloy is no magnetism and magnetic separator does not work here; the alloys are in blocks and floatation separator can not make it; and the only way to get the silica-manganese alloy is gravity separation. The density difference between silica-manganese alloy and the slag is big enough to make gravity separation an ideal way to get the alloys. Jigger is kind of gravity separator with its big handling capacity, wide separation range and good separation efficiency. It is widely used in smelting slag recycling instead of shaking table and other gravity separators.
