Cinnabar Ore Processing Line To Extract Mercury

Cinnabar is red with its big density, crisp nature, and great flotability, so floatation separation, gravity separation and pre-selection can be used together to extract mercury.

1) pre-selection

a. The traditional Pre-selection is hand-selection because its red color makes it easy to separate with the other material. Hand-selection is usually done on the conveyor belt of 0.1-0.4 wide. The hand-selection of the blocks, sometimes, is used before the coarse crushing with its selection granularity size of 50-100mm.

b. crushing-screening is another way of pre-selection for cinnabar ore. The cinnabar is crisp and it is easy to crush. The cinnabar is in the fine ore because of the optional crushing, and the correct screen will make the fine down it.

2) gravity separation

The density of cinnabar is big, which can be taken use by gravity separation. However, in the separation of cinnabar, the floatation separation will be adopted together with gravity separation. The gravity separation equipment is mainly shaking table and jigger. The jigger deals with the material low down the screen and the shaking table improves the grade of the concentrate.

3) floatation separation

Floatation separation is the common and efficient beneficiation method. It can recover not only the cinnabar in the ore, but also natural cinnabar & cinnabar chlorine sulfur. Floatation separation ca be also adoptable for the multi-metal beneficiation.

4) gravity-floatation separation

This separation is very common for cinnabar recovery. The crushed ore will be milled to be fine. Traprzoid jigger will be used first when the cinnabar blocks are big and its structure ids easy. Its advantage is simple flow sheet, low power, dewatering-erased, so the operate cost & the building cost is low while the recovery rate is high.
