Diamond Mining Washing Equipment

Most of diamond mines are placer mines, and usually diamond mines need no crushing and milling to benefit from the project to a largest extent. The beneficiation of diamond mineral is usually rough separation to remove the light material mixed with diamond granules and fine selection to get final diamond concentrate. The flow sheet can be usually as this: vibrating screening-jigging gravity separation-factice separation.

 
1.   Rough separation of diamond ore

The rough separation of diamond mines is usually gravity separation, especially jigging concentration with its low plant investment and low operation cost. Diamond mining jigging separation works on difference of density, shape, surface friction coefficient between diamond granules and its gangues. Diamond granules are of big density with its round shape with its high depositing speed in water and good layer-crossing ability, so diamond concentrate can be easily formed. So in the water chambers of jigger, diamond granules sink to the chamber bottom in the vertical alternative water-flows while the lighter gangue will be discharged from the upper port as tailings.
 
About diamond rough separation, heavy-medium separator can be involved sometimes. However, the heavy fluid and heavy turbid liquid is not so easy to control. Comparing both gravity separation, jigging gravity concentration can work with better separation efficiency and easier to operate and no chemical involved.
 
It is mainly jigging gravity separation with its simple operation, high recovery, and good separation efficiency. The water in jig gravity separation can be recycled and it is friendly to environment. The jigger for diamond mining separation needs no classification with its four independent slots and eight jigging boxes. This jigger is the jig machine with longest jigging distance and best recovery, and also it is adoptable for kinds of ore beneficiation and smelting alloy recovery.  2.   Fine selection of diamond ore

There is diamond factice separator and X-ray separator. Factice separator works according to the lipophilicity difference if diamond and its gangues with its high efficiency, high recovery but complex operation while the X-ray separation can recover 100% with high automatic nature but it needs high cost to maintain and plant investment.

Diamond Factice Separator 

In most of diamond mines, factice separator is mainly used and the following is about more information about the diamond factice separator. Its separating section is separation rubber belt with both ends attached to the preliminary round and tailblock, presenting a certain inclination with the horizontal level. As the diamond factice separator picture shows, the preliminary round and tailblock is installed on the main machine body. The material will be fed to the separation rubber belt through the vibrating feeder. There is a water pipe over the separation belt with the factice box installing at the end of the tailblock. The heated factice can coat the rubber belt. Heated scraper at the end of the preliminary round can scrap the factice attached with diamond granules. The scrapped oil can be deoiled and the diamond concentrate can be finally gained while the material can not be attached to the factice can be washed to the tailings slot.
