Flow sheet of mixed antimony ore of sulfide and oxide

Flow sheet of hand-selection--gravity separation--floatation separation--gravity separation is usually adopted by the beneficiation factories. 

1. crushing & hand-selection

1) crushing

It is a two phrase closing processing with the max. blocks of 400mm. The elevator conveys the output from crusher to the hopper and then the material will be put into the fine jaw crusher to be crushed into -150mm. Two-lay vibration screen screens the material to be three ranges: ore of -150mm-30mm shall be handy selected, -30-18mm will be put into the second crushing to be -18mm. After the classifying & desliming of the classifier, the return sand will enter into the saved hopper, and the ore mud will be into the concentrator to concentrate and then will be in the floatation separator for further separation.

2) hand-selection

It is also two-phase work. The high grade concentrate and second grade will be got by selection and the second grade concentrate can be into the second closing processing after crushing. And the waste will be moved to the waste site.

2. gravity separation and ore-milling

1) gravity separation   Ores after crushing and hand-selection will be into two-phase separation. The first one is three-phase jigging(-18+8,-8+2,-2+0mm), and concentrate can be got by another jigging(-4-0mm) after rod milling while the second one separating the tailings for ball milling.

2) ore-milling  Rod mill is mainly for the tailings of -18+8,-8+2mm size while the ball mill is mainly for the tailings from the jigger. The fine powder from the ball mill will go for the floatation separator for the separation.

3. floatation separation

The flow sheet of the floatation separation for milled tailings from the second jigging adopts one rough floatation, one fine selection and one scavenging.

4. gravity separation of shaking table

This gravity is used to recover the antimony oxide from the floatation tailings.

Moreover, some factories also adopt combinated flow sheet of floatation and gravity separation to deal with the raw antimony ore and secondary antimony mud.


 

However, for the stibnite antimony ore, the following will be better.

The single antimony sulfide ore is stibnite, and its main separation methods cover hand-selection, gravity separation, floatation separation, and here the jigging gravity separation will be introduced.

Gravity separation is adopted for most of the antimony ore because of its big density and coarse granularity size to make the gravity separation good enrichment efficiency. The density of the stibnite is 4.6 while that of the gangue is 2.6, so stibnite is very easy to separate by gravity separation. Jigger is one of the gravity separation machines widely used for stibnite separation.
Jigging gravity separation separates based on the density difference of the concentrate & the gangue with its great enrichment efficiency & large handling capacity. Jigger can deal with a large range of size and is friendly to environment with high cost performance, so it is the ideal separator for stibnite ore. For some antimony hard to separate, jigging gravity separation can only work as the pre-separation of floatation separation, especially for the antimony oxide. and jigging separation is the main separation method for antimony oxide.
